What is going on in this country these days, that will positively impact enterpeneurs and emerging enterprises? Not too much, I am afraid. My opinion probably doesn’t mean much to the betterment of the economy, but frankly folks, isn’t government interested in making this country’s economy vibrant again? I truly don’t think so.
Let’s face it; entrepreneurs and emerging enterprises bring it in; that is, produce the majority of the vitality of this economy. If President Obama really wanted to produce REAL jobs that pay a living wage, he would instantly fire our Jobs Czar, Jeffrey R. Immelt (CEO of GE) , and take a serious look at why General Electric piad no federal income tax in 2010. What has this guy actually accomplished? Yes, it is reported that there was job growth last month of 216,000 new jobs, but not everyone can afford to live on minimum wage. Jobs created that are nowhere near the wages that were eliminated over the past few years does little, if anything of benefit. All it does is shrink the unemployment rolls. When unemployment benefits are exhausted, the unemployed fall off the rolls, thereby creating a false number of growth.
In my humble opinion, what we need is a significant level of funding by government and private industry into innovation. FIN (Fund Innovation Now) should be the new mantra.
Mr. President, get with the movement. We need innovation to grow the economy, create jobs with meaning and substance, thereby reviving our country. Stop the B.S. and do something that means something besides lip service.
My opinion, my words. Pass it on.
